Village enacts sticker moratorium

Tinley Park residents who didn't buy their vehicle stickers by the June 30 deadline will have until Aug. 1 to do so without receiving a police citation. On Aug. 1, the Tinley Park Police Department will begin ticketing violators. Late fees will still apply.

Vehicle stickers, the sale of which helps fund road maintenance in the Village, are sold from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturdays at Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Stickers also are sold 24 hours a day at the Tinley Park Police Department, 7850 W. 183rd St. Sticker costs with late fees included are:

  • Passenger auto, van and recreational vehicle: $45
  • Truck, one ton or less: $60
  • Truck, more than one ton: $95
  • Bus or taxi: $70
  • Motorcycle: $20
  • Senior citizen passenger auto: $3
  • Transfer fee: $2

The 2017-18 Village of Tinley Park vehicle sticker features Old Zion Landmark Church, which was constructed in 1884 along present-day 174th Street. The church is currently home to the Tinley Park Historical Society.
