The Village is excited to announce the winners of the 24th annual Tinley Park Irish Parade, which took place March 3 along Oak Park Avenue and featured more than 80 floats, community groups, businesses and schools. Winner included:
- Professional Float: Smith Crossing
- Performance Group: Tinley Park High School Marching Band
- Walking/Vehicle: Ed n' Joes Pizza
- Amateur Float: Village of Tinley Park Public Works Department
The Village welcomed a record 32,000 spectators to this year's parade. Many thanks to this year's Irish Parade judges, which included Wendy Babjak, Adult Program Coordinator at Tinley Park Public Library; Jacki Canter, Event Coordinator for the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce; and Melissa Christensen of Brady-Gill Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
Also thanks to Grand Marshal and WGN reporter Brónagh Tumulty, parade announcers Jeff Keane and John Tadla from Andrew High School, and Irish Parade sponsors Apple Chevy of Tinley Park, Kevin Szabo Jr. Plumbing, Local 17 Insulators, and One Tinley Park.
