    The Tinley Park Historical Society was organized in 1974 to preserve and document the heritage of Tinley Park and its surrounding areas. The "Old Zion" Lutheran Church, a "prairie gothic" style frame structure built in 1884, was acquired as its home. Now known simply as “The Landmark”, it has been the center of the history of Tinley Park, and its surrounding area. The Landmark Church and Museum structures are owned and maintained by the Tinley Park-Park District with the Historical Society overseeing and operating the museum.

    All ages (see race registration form or brochure for age categories). $17 without shirt or $20 with race t-shirt (pre-registration) / $30 on race day. Awards will be given for first, second, and third place runners in all age categories, male and female, based on chip timing. An award will also be given to the best overall resident and non-resident male and female runner. T-shirts will be awarded to the first 550 registered participants. Pre-registration closes October 31 at 3:00 p.m. Registration and pre-registration pick-up will open again at 7:00 a.m. on race day at Vogt Woods.

    $15 per picture package / $12 for a CD of photos / $7 for each 5x7 on Nov. 15. Don't miss this chance to visit with Santa and have your picture taken with him. The photo package consists of one 5x7, two 3x5, and eight wallet photos for $15. The packages will be mailed to your home by December 8. There will also be a special offer of one 5x7 picture for $7. These pictures will be available within 15 minutes after the picture is taken on November 15. No registration needed. Please bring exact dollar amount. Fee must be paid on November 15 before pictures are taken.

  17. Tinley Park Community Band - 17th Annual Spaghetti Dinner

    Dinner includes spaghetti with marinara or meat sauce, salad, garlic bread (all you can eat). You also get dessert and coffee. There’s a cash bar and meals to go. The afternoon will feature live music by various members of the band, raffle prizes, and split-the-pot. Fun for the whole family! The Bears game will be closed captioned on TV. Parking is available one block south in the public parking lot. Tickets purchased in advance are $6 per person or $20 per family, limit of five. Tickets purchased at the door are $7 per person and $25 per family, limit of five.
