Mayor Edward J. Zabrocki

Ed and his wife, Emily, have lived in Tinley Park since 1970. He retired from the faculty of Brother Rice High School after 39 years. He has earned degrees from both St. Mary’s University and DePaul University.

Edward J. Zabrocki began serving the Village of Tinley Park in 1971 as a volunteer member of the Human Resource Commission, and in 1975 becoming chairperson. He was appointed to the post of Village Trustee in 1978 and elected Mayor in 1981, the office he has held continuously since.

Ed was named one of the “Top Ten Mayors” in a poll taken by the Daily Southtown newspaper.

Mayor Zabrocki is on the board of directors of the South Suburban Mayors and Managers Association and the Illinois Municipal League.

Patrick Rea

Patrick E. Rea has a long and distinguished career of professional achievements and dedicated public service.
He was appointed Village Clerk of the Village of Tinley Park in May 2009 after serving for 37 years as an elected Village Trustee. From 1980 until May 2009, he was Chairman of the Village's Finance and Economic Development Committee.
He was appointed Regional Administrator for SBA's Midwest Region by President George W. Bush in November 2003 and held that position through January 2009. Before joining the SBA, he was the Executive Director for the Illinois Development Finance. Previously, Clerk Rea served as a Vice President and Corporate Banker of Bank One Capital Markets.
He is a retired Brigadier General in the U.S. Army Reserve, having served throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Clerk Rea also received the 2004 Secretary of Defense Medal of Outstanding Public Service Award.

Dave and Rosemary Seaman have three children; Tony, Rachel, and Christopher. He is the Chief Executive Officer for one of the largest medical groups in the Chicago area, Pronger Smith Medical Care. Village Trustee Dave has both undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Illinois and is a Certified Public Accountant.

David G. Seaman was appointed to the Village Board in 1984 and presently chairs the Budget, Audit and Administration Committee.

Trustee Dave also serves as a Colonel in the Joint Force Headquarters of the Illinois Air National Guard, where he is assigned as Director of Command and Control, Computers and Communications.

Dave is active with the American Cancer Society at the national, state and local levels and presently serves on the American Cancer Society's National Board of Directors.

Gregory J. Hannon

Gregory J. Hannon was elected Village Trustee in April 1987 and is currently the Mayor Pro Tem. He is chairman of the Planning and Zoning Committee.

   

Trustee Hannon is a member of the Illinois Professional Land Surveyors Association, National Society of Professional Surveyors and American Congress of Surveying and Mapping.

He is a past president of the Tinley Park Jaycees and past president of the Willow Lane Homeowners Association. He and his wife, Cathy, have been married since 1975 and have two daughters, Allison and Amy, both married.  

 

Michael Bettenhausen

Michael Bettenhausen grew up in Tinley Park and now resides here with his wife Gina. Mike has four children. Mike is the General Manager for one if the longest established businesses in Tinley Park – Bettenhausen Motor Sales which carries the Chrysler, Jeep and Dodge porduct lines. The Bettenhausen Foundation, that Mike co-founded, has raised and donated significant amounts for Tinley Park organizations.

Michael H. Bettenhausen has served as Village Trustee since 1998 after having previously served as the chair of the Village's Main Street Commission. Mike currently serves as the chairman of the Finance and Economic Development Committee.

Thomas Staunton Jr.

Thomas Staunton Jr., a resident of the Brookside Glen subdivision and an electrician for the Chicago Transit Authority and has served as Village Trustee since 2007. In addition to his involvement on various volunteer commissions, he has served the community as treasurer of the Brookside Glen Homeowners Association, a member of a local school fundraising group, a member of St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, and a member of Gaelic Park. Tom serves as the chairman of the Public Works Committee

Staunton has lived in Tinley Park since 2002 with his daughter and wife, Sue, a registered nurse. He is a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers and has worked for the Chicago Transit Authority since 1992.

Brian Maher

Brian and his wife Patricia reside in Tinley Park and have three children, Matthew, Briana, and Cayla. Brian is an attorney at the Chicago law firm of Weis & DuBrock.

Brian was elected to the Village Board in 1999 and currently serves as chairperson of the Public Safety Committee.

Mr. Maher received a bachelor’s degree from Northern Illinois University and his Juris Doctor from Illinois Institute of Technology/ Chicago Kent College of Law. He is also a Certified Illinois Assessing Officer as designated by the Illinois Property Assessment Institute.

Brian is a member of the Board of Directors of Family Focus, Inc.

Patricia Leoni

Patricia Leoni has been a Village Trustee since May of 2009 and is chairperson of the Building and Compliance Committee.  Prior to joining the Village Board, she served as a commissioner and secretary for the Tinley Park-Park District. Trustee Leoni, who is an educator and elementary school principal, has also served on the Crisis Center for South Suburbia’s Board of Directors and was an Abby Foundation “Woman of the Year” finalist in 2007.  She and her husband, Bob, have three sons.
