2014 Theme: "Let the Games Begin"
This award-winning public art program features benches along downtown Oak Park Avenue that showcase the unique and colorful designs of professional and amateur artists from the area. Artwork is based on a different theme each year, and benches are on display from mid-May until October.

Are you a classic car or hot rod owner or fan? Show them off or just view them from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from June through August along downtown Oak Park Avenue between 171st Street and 173rd Place. Click here for more information.
Visit the Downtown Tinley Farmers Market from 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays from June to October in Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., for the best selection of fruits, vegetables and fresh flowers!
Music in the Plaza
Be ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! Music in the Plaza concerts are held from 7 to 10 p.m. every other Saturday beginning June 14 at Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. The concert schedule, including pre-show activities, is as follows:
- June 14: KO Bossy (Motown and disco)
- Meet the Artists Night - 6:30 to 8 p.m.
- June 28: The New Invaders (British invasion)
- Robert Rodriquez, Beatles author and pop culture historian - 6:30 p.m.
- July 12: Firechicken (variety)
- Children's crafts - 6:30 p.m. to intermission
- July 26: Slippery When Wet ('80s rock)
- Big Hair Night - 6:30 p.m. to intermission
- Aug. 9: Prairie Station (country)
- Line dancing lessons - 6:15 p.m.

V.F.W. Post 2791 will be serving beer, margaritas, daiquiris and wine at every concert, and various restaurants will be selling food. National Night Out - August 5, 2014
Join the Tinley Park Police Department in this annual, award-winning event held each year in August. Attendees can meet and greet members of Tinley Park’s Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Management Agency and Public Works Department, as well as view the many Village-owned vehicles on display.

Downtown Tinley Boo Bash
Dress up the kids and head out to the Downtown Tinley Halloween Boo Bash and Kiddie Parade! Enjoy the costume parade, trick-or-treating compliments of local businesses; games, prizes, snacks, food and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for costumes in "best of" categories. Parents, grandparents, children, pets and friends all are welcome.
Fire Prevention Month
Each year, the Tinley Park Fire Prevention Bureau and Fire Department highlight fire prevention education. The special month and annual open house is in October.
Tinley Park is the place to be the first weekend in December when the Village presents a lineup of free holiday events for the whole family. The weekend includes a tree lighting ceremony, the Tinley Toyland Parade, the Parade of Lights, photos with Santa, carriage rides, the popular Holiday Market and much more!
The annual Tinley Irish Parade is held on the second Sunday in March. Enjoy this family-friendly event along Oak Park Avenue in downtown Tinley Park. Come out and see the many floats, community groups, local schools and businesses.
The annual Discover Tinley Expo in spring showcases the community's business and nonprofit organizations, as well as its government services. Visit Discover Tinley to learn more about what your Village has to offer. This free event features entertainment, food samples and giveaways at many of the booths.
The annual Downtown Tinley Bunny Hop is held the Sunday before Easter and features a visit from the Easter Bunny!
Caribbean Block Party
This popular event offers live music on two stages, free activities for the whole family, a mini-Taste of Tinley Park, a classic car show and much more. Attendees can take a free trolley shuttle to the Caribbean Block Party. Rides depart from the 80th Avenue train station beginning at 11:30 a.m.; pick-up and drop-off will be every 15 minutes through 7:30 p.m.
