The Village of Tinley Park is looking for amateur and/or professional artists to participate in the 2015 Benches on the Avenue public art project. The 2015 theme is “Heroes and Villains,” and the submission deadline has been extended to 5 p.m. Feb. 28, 2015. Click here

The annual Discover Tinley Expo in spring showcases the community's business and nonprofit organizations, as well as its government services. Visit Discover Tinley to learn more about what your Village has to offer. This free event features entertainment, food samples and giveaways at many of the booths. Click here

The annual Downtown Tinley Bunny Hop will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29 at the Oak Park Avenue train station. Come out for a visit with the Easter Bunny, DJ entertainment, games and much more!
Are you a classic car or hot rod owner or fan? Show them off or just view them from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from June through August along downtown Oak Park Avenue between 171st Street and 173rd Place.
Music in the Plaza
Be ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! Music in the Plaza concerts are held from 7 to 10 p.m. every other Saturday in Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!
Visit the Downtown Tinley Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturdays from May 30 to Oct. 10 in Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., for the best selection of fruits, vegetables and fresh flowers!
Caribbean Block Party
This popular event offers live music on two stages, free activities for the whole family, a mini-Taste of Tinley Park, a classic car show and much more. Attendees can take a free trolley shuttle to the Caribbean Block Party. Rides depart from the 80th Avenue train station beginning at 11:30 a.m.; pick-up and drop-off will be every 15 minutes through 7:30 p.m.
National Night Out
Join the Tinley Park Police Department in this annual, award-winning event held each year in August. Attendees can meet and greet members of Tinley Park’s Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Management Agency and Public Works Department, as well as view the many Village-owned vehicles on display.
Fire Prevention Month
Each year, the Tinley Park Fire Department and Prevention Bureau highlight fire prevention education. The special month and annual open house is in October.
Downtown Tinley Boo Bash
The annual Downtown Tinley Boo Bash takes place in late October at the Oak Park Avenue train station and is great fun for families with young children. Activities include hayrides, a costume contest, trick-or-treating with local businesses, Halloween-themed games, DJ entertainment and more.
Tinley Park is the place to be the first weekend in December when the Village presents a lineup of free holiday events for the whole family. The weekend includes a tree lighting ceremony, the Tinley Toyland Parade, the Parade of Lights, photos with Santa, carriage rides, the popular Holiday Market and much more!
The 17th annual Downtown Tinley Irish Parade will be held in March 2016 along Oak Park Avenue in downtown Tinley Park. The family-friendly event features floats, community groups, local schools and businesses.
