Benches on the Avenue
The Village will hold the 13th annual Benches on the Avenue public art program from May 11 to Oct. 1 along Oak Park Avenue from 172nd to 176th streets. This year's theme will be "Once Upon a Time … Favorite Children’s Storybooks.” The Benches on the Avenue program has become one of the Village's most popular attractions, drawing thousands of residents and visitors annually to the downtown area.

White Sox Night
The Chicago White Sox will once again offer specially priced tickets to Tinley Park residents and their families and friends to watch the South Siders take on the Toronto Blue Jays at 7:10 p.m. Friday, June 24 at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago.
Visit the Downtown Tinley Farmers Market from 7:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturdays from June 4 to October 8 in Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., for the best selection of fruits, vegetables and fresh flowers! Farmers Market
Are you a classic car or hot rod owner or fan? Show them off or just view them from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from June 7 through Aug. 30 along downtown Oak Park Avenue between 171st Street and 173rd Place.
Music in the Plaza
Be ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! The 2016 Music in the Plaza concerts will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on the below dates at Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets!

Caribbean Block Party
The Caribbean Block Party will take place from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 17 along Oak Park Avenue from 171st to Hickory streets. This popular event offers live music on two stages, free activities for the whole family, a mini-Taste of Tinley Park, a classic car show and much more. Attendees also can take a free trolley shuttle to the event.
Join the Tinley Park Police Department at this annual, award-winning event held on National Night Out
Tuesday August 2, 6 to 9 p.m. Attendees can meet and greet members of Tinley Park’s Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Management Agency and Public Works Department, as well as view the many Village-owned vehicles on display.
Fire Prevention Month Each year in October, the Tinley Park Fire Department and Prevention Bureau highlight fire prevention education, which culminates in the Fire Prevention Week Open House.
The annual Downtown Tinley Boo Bash takes place in October and is great fun for families with young children. Activities include hayrides, a costume contest, trick-or-treating with local businesses, Halloween-themed games, DJ entertainment and more. Boo Bash
Tinley Park is the place to be the first weekend in December when the Village presents a lineup of free holiday events for the whole family. The weekend includes the Mayor's Tree-Lighting Ceremony, the Tinley Toyland Parade, the Parade of Lights, photos with Santa, carriage rides, an ice carving demonstration, campfires, the popular Holiday Market and much more!

Photos with Bunny
Bring the family out for Photos with Bunny in March at the Oak Park Avenue Metra train station, 6700 South Street, Tinley Park. Come out to have your photo taken with the big guy himself! Please bring your own camera.
The annual Discover Tinley Expo is held in April at the Tinley Park Convention Center. The event showcases the community's business and nonprofit organizations, as well as its government services. Visit Discover Tinley to learn more about what your Village has to offer. This free event features entertainment, food samples and giveaways at many of the booths.

Public entities hosting events on public property within the Village and marketed to and open to the public may only advertise on signs at approved locations. Please fill out the Special Event Signage Permit Application for approval. Banners are approved on a first-come, first-served basis.
