Benches on the Avenue
This award-winning public art program features benches along downtown Oak Park Avenue that showcase the unique and colorful designs of professional and amateur artists from the area. The artwork is based on a different theme each year and benches are on display from mid-May until October.

Irish Parade
The annual Tinley Irish Parade is held on the second Sunday in March. Enjoy this family-friendly event along Oak Park Avenue in downtown Tinley Park. Come out and see the many floats, community groups, local schools and businesses.

Bunny Hop
The Bunny Hop is held for free on the last Sunday before Easter in downtown Tinley Park. Activities include photo opportunities with the Easter Bunny (bring your own camera); an Easter egg hunt,; DJ entertainment; crafts and games; $1 cookie decorating; food and much more! Visit the vintage Easter dress and bonnet display at the Historical Society.  More information.

Discover Tinley
The annual Discover Tinley expo in spring showcases the community's business and nonprofit organizations as well as government services. Visit Discover Tinley to learn more about what your Village has to offer. This free event features entertainment, food samples and giveaways at many of the booths.

Farmers Market
Visit the Farmers Market from 7 a.m. to noon Saturdays from June through October for the best selection of fresh fruits, vegetables, flowers and much more. It is held in downtown Zabrocki Plaza.

Cruise Nights
Are you a classic car or hot rod owner or fan? Show them off or just view them from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from June through August along downtown Oak Park Avenue between 171st Street and 173rd Place.

Music in the Plaza
Be ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! Saturday summer nights in Tinley Park are all about the music at outdoor concerts from 7 to 10 p.m. on selected dates at the Oak Park Avenue train station. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

Caribbean Block Party
This popular event offers live music on two stages, activities for the whole family, a mini-Taste of Tinley Park and much more. There are several sponsorship opportunities available for the Caribbean Block Party.

National Night Out
Join the Police Department in this annual, award-winning event held each year in August.

Downtown Tinley Boo Bash
Dress up the kids and head out to the Downtown Tinley Halloween Boo Bash and Kiddie Parade! Enjoy the costume parade, trick-or-treating compliments of local businesses; games, prizes, snacks, food and refreshments. Prizes will be awarded for costumes in "best of" categories. Parents, grandparents, children, pets and friends all are welcome.

Fire Prevention Month
Each year, our Fire Prevention Bureau and Fire Department highlight fire prevention education. The special month and annual open house is in October.

Holiday Market
Tinley Park is the place to be the first weekend in December when the Village presents a lineup of free holiday events for the whole family. The weekend includes a tree lighting ceremony, the Tinley Toyland Parade, the Parade of Lights, photos with Santa, carriage rides, the popular Holiday Market and much more.
