Benches on the Avenue
The Village is hosting its 13th annual Benches on the Avenue public art program now through Oct. 1 along Oak Park Avenue from 172nd to 176th streets. This year's theme is "Once Upon a Time … Favorite Children’s Storybooks” and features 20 benches created by both amateur and professional artists. The Benches on the Avenue program has become one of the Village's most popular attractions, drawing thousands of residents and visitors annually to the downtown area.

Are you a classic car or hot rod owner or fan? Show them off or just view them from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from June 7 through Aug. 30 along downtown Oak Park Avenue between 171st Street and 173rd Place.
Music in the Plaza
Be ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! The 2016 Music in the Plaza concerts will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. on the below dates at Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets! Please keep in mind that Music in the Plaza is not a pet-friendly event.

Join the Tinley Park Police Department at this annual, award-winning event from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 in Zabrocki Plaza. Attendees can meet and greet members of Tinley Park’s Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Management Agency and Public Works Department, as well as view the many Village-owned vehicles on display. Fire Prevention Month Each year in October, the Tinley Park Fire Department and Prevention Bureau highlight fire prevention education, which culminates in the Fire Prevention Week Open House.
The annual Downtown Tinley Boo Bash takes place in October and is great fun for families with young children. Activities include hayrides, a costume contest, trick-or-treating with local businesses, Halloween-themed games, DJ entertainment and more. Boo Bash
Tinley Park is the place to be the first weekend in December when the Village presents a lineup of free holiday events for the whole family. The weekend includes the Mayor's Tree-Lighting Ceremony, the Tinley Toyland Parade, the Parade of Lights, photos with Santa, carriage rides, an ice carving demonstration, campfires, the popular Holiday Market and much more!

Photos with Bunny
Bring the family out for Photos with Bunny in March at the Oak Park Avenue Metra train station, 6700 South Street, Tinley Park. Come out to have your photo taken with the big guy himself! Please bring your own camera.
The annual Discover Tinley Expo is held in April at the Tinley Park Convention Center. The event showcases the community's business and nonprofit organizations, as well as its government services. Visit Discover Tinley to learn more about what your Village has to offer. This free event features entertainment, food samples and giveaways at many of the booths.
The Caribbean Block Party takes place every summer along Oak Park Avenue from 171st to Hickory streets and features live music, food and free family fun such as a sand sculptor, a bean bag tournament, rides and inflatables, KidZone activities and a classic car show. Attendees can take a free trolley ride to the event from the 80th Avenue train station. Please keep in mind that the Caribbean Block Party is not a pet-friendly event. Caribbean Block Party
