Downtown Tinley Irish Parade
The 17th annual Downtown Tinley Irish Parade will step off at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 6 along Oak Park Avenue in Downtown Tinley. The family-friendly event features floats, community groups, local schools and businesses. Tinley Wish, which recently celebrated its 20th year of helping needy families during the holidays, has been selected as the parade's grand marshal. Click on the below links for more information.

This event will take place from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 20 at South Street and 67th Court, just south of the Oak Park Avenue Metra train station. Come out to have your photo taken with the big guy himself! Please bring your own camera.
The annual Discover Tinley Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 2 at the Tinley Park Convention Center. The event showcases the community's business and nonprofit organizations, as well as its government services. Visit Discover Tinley to learn more about what your Village has to offer. This free event features entertainment, food samples and giveaways at many of the booths.
Caribbean Block Party
The Caribbean Block Party will take place from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 17 along Oak Park Avenue from 171st to Hickory streets. This popular event offers live music on two stages, free activities for the whole family, a mini-Taste of Tinley Park, a classic car show and much more. Attendees also can take a free trolley shuttle to the event.
National Night Out
Join the Tinley Park Police Department in this annual, award-winning event held each year in August. Attendees can meet and greet members of Tinley Park’s Police Department, Fire Department, Emergency Management Agency and Public Works Department, as well as view the many Village-owned vehicles on display.
Are you a classic car or hot rod owner or fan? Show them off or just view them from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from June through August along downtown Oak Park Avenue between 171st Street and 173rd Place.
Music in the Plaza
Be ready to clap your hands and tap your toes! Music in the Plaza concerts are held from 7 to 10 p.m. every other Saturday during the summer in Zabrocki Plaza, 17375 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets! The 2015 concert season is over, but check back here soon for next year's lineup of great entertainment!
Benches on the Avenue
Tinley Park's Benches on the Avenue public art program has become one of the Village's most popular attractions, drawing thousands of residents and visitors annually to the downtown area. The colorful benches along Oak Park Avenue from May through October feature the work of both amateur and professional artists and provide spots to rest and enjoy the fantastic creations while strolling through town.

Fire Prevention Month
Each year in October, the Tinley Park Fire Department and Prevention Bureau highlight fire prevention education, which culminates in the Fire Prevention Week Open House.
The annual Downtown Tinley Boo Bash takes place in October and is great fun for families with young children. Activities include hayrides, a costume contest, trick-or-treating with local businesses, Halloween-themed games, DJ entertainment and more.
Tinley Park is the place to be the first weekend in December when the Village presents a lineup of free holiday events for the whole family. The weekend includes the Mayor's Tree-Lighting Ceremony, the Tinley Toyland Parade, the Parade of Lights, photos with Santa, carriage rides, an ice carving demonstration, campfires, the popular Holiday Market and much more!
