Michael J. Pannitto
Michael Pannitto moved to Tinley Park in 1993. He became active in the community three years later, running for Park District Commissioner because he opposed the park district's use of public funds to renovate buildings for a private daycare center and restaurant, rather than building parks. He was elected in 1995.

Mike served Tinley Park as a non-paid commissioner for 20 years. During the time Mike was a commissioner on the Park District Board, the vacant restaurant was transformed into the Vogt Visual Arts Center. Additionally, the recreation center, water park, fitness center, Freedom Park and numerous other smaller parks and projects were completed.

In 2015, Mike was elected to the position of Trustee. One of Mike’s goals, while serving the citizens of Tinley Park, is to ensure that the interests of the people of the Village of Tinley Park are represented.

Mike has worked for Cook County for the past 25 years. He started as a probation officer in 1991. While working full time, he attended law school at night. He earned his law degree and is currently employed as an attorney for Cook County.

Mike lives with his wife, a veterinarian, and two children, one a student at Prairie View Middle School, and the other at Andrew High School.

In September 2015, Mayor Seaman assigned Mike as the Chairman of the Building and Compliance Committee.
