Permit Fees
Permits usually take up to 15 working days (3 weeks)  to process. The Building Department will notify the property owner by telephone when the permit is ready.

All permits are to be picked up at the Village Clerk’s office, not the Building Department, at Village Hall, 16250 S. Oak Park Ave., Tinley Park. Payment is not required until the permit is picked up at the Clerk’s Office.

Basic Permit Fees (Includes Inspection)

    • Residential – $50 per unit
    • Commercial – $75 per unit
  • Brick mailbox – $50
  • Deck – $50
  • Driveway – $50

  • Furnace
    • Residential – $50 per unit
    • Commercial – $75 per unit
  • Front porch – $50
       
  • Garage – $125
  • Hot tub – $50
  • Lawn sprinkler – $50

  • Swimming pools
    • $100 (for above-ground structures)
    • $50 (for replacement structures)
    • $200 (for in-ground structures)
  • Sewer repair – $50

  • Temporary sign / banner – $15

Building Permit and Inspection Fees

Building permits for work costing:

  • $100 but less than $1,500 – $30
  • $1,500 but less than $3,000 – $40
  • $3,000 but less than $6,000 – $50
  • $6,000 but less than $12,000 – $80
  • $12,000 but less than $18,000 – $110
  • $18,000 but less than $24,000 – $130
  • $24,000 but less than $30,000 – $160
  • $30,000 or more – $6 for each $1,000 or part thereof

Plan check fees for work costing:

  • $100 but less than $1,500 – $10
  • $1,500 but less than $3,000 – $20
  • $3,000 but less than $18,000 – $40
  • $18,000 but less than $24,000 – $50
  • $24,000 but less than $30,000 – $60
  • Over $3,000 – $2 for each $1,000 or part thereof

Inspections:
 
  • $50 per inspection
