Charitable Organizations
The Tinley Park Police Department and its members participate in and support several charitable organizations and programs.

Tinley Wish Program

Tinley Wish is a nonprofit organization that has been in existence since 1997 and which raises money throughout the year in an effort to give back to community families in need.

How the program works

Annually, members of the Tinley Wish Committee collect nominations for disadvantaged families from schools, churches and various humanitarian organizations. The committee reviews the recommendations and chooses nominees who are most in need of assistance. The only requirement is that the receiver must live in Tinley Park.

A majority of the donations primarily come through individual sources. Additionally, an option to make a donation to Tinley Wish is periodically made available on local water bills. Village citizens have made contributions in amounts ranging from $1 to $10,000.

For more information about how you can get involved in this effort, please contact the Tinley Park Police Department at (708) 532-9111.
