Utility Bill Due Dates

Effective Jan. 1, 2024, the Village issues utility bills on the first of the month on a bi-monthly cycle (previously quarterly). Utility bills are due within 25 days, unless the 25th is a Saturday, Sunday or a holiday, in which case the due date is shifted to the next business day.

If payment is not received by the due date, a late penalty of 5% is added to the account. The Village will mail a late notice bill reflecting the additional charge and the due date for all outstanding charges.

Approximately 10 days after the due date of the late notice bill, the Village will mail a delinquency notice by USPS indicating the proposed date that service will be turned off if payment still has not been received. This mailed notice replaces the “Red Card” that Village employees previously hand-delivered to the delinquent service address. An additional $25 delinquency notice fee will be assessed to the account.

If the customer has not made a payment by the date indicated in the delinquency notice, the Village will schedule the water service for shut off. To restore service that has been disconnected, customers must pay all outstanding charges, including a $150 Reinstatement of Service fee. Please note that the Village schedules restoration of disconnected services from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays. A responsible adult must be present at the service address for the water to be turned back on.

Please note that the Village’s field employees are not permitted to accept payments. Payments can be made at the Village Hall, Police Department or online at services.tinleypark.org. Residents also can visit the Village's Utility Billing page for information on enrollment in the Village’s EZ Pay automatic payment program, or for email delivery of utility billings.
