Cruise Nights

The Village of Tinley Park hosts Cruise Nights from 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesdays from the end of May to the end of August in Downtown Tinley. The free event features classic cars on display, food and beverages for sale and live DJ music. Cruise Nights are presented by Tinley Park V.F.W. Post 2791.

Oak Park Avenue from 171st to North streets will be closed to thru traffic beginning at 4:30 p.m. for show cars. Southbound Oak Park Avenue will be open for residents and businesses along this stretch up until the public parking lot by Subway. Oak Park Avenue will be closed in both directions south of Subway to accommodate pedestrian visitors. The lot by Subway will be available for resident and business parking.

Oak Park Avenue from 171st to North streets will be closed to thru traffic beginning at 4:30 p.m. for show cars. Southbound Oak Park Avenue will be open for residents and businesses up until the public parking lot by Subway. Oak Park Avenue will be closed in both directions south of Subway for show parking on both sides as well as pedestrian accessibility. For the safety of pedestrians, cars parked in the hard close area may leave at any time led by a police officer. Show cars must enter the event from 171st Street, proceeding south and filling available spots from south to north along Oak Park Avenue. While all show cars must park facing south, the west side of the street will be parallel parking, and the east side will be parked at a 45-degree angle. There will be no show car parking allowed in the lot by Subway.
