Passport Parking LogoThe Village's electronic parking meter systems at the Oak Park Avenue and 80th Avenue train stations use real-time data tracking to allow for better management of parking spaces and resources.

Commuters can pay with cash, coin or credit card at a parking kiosk, or on an Apple or Android smartphone using the Passport parking app.

Parking on weekends and after 10 a.m. on weekdays is free. Parking permits are no longer issued, and all lots are daily pay.

  • Download the Passport app on Apple store or Google Play.
  • You can find a QR code linking to the Passport app on parking signs and decals at both stations.
  • After parking, enter:
    • Zone + vehicle or space
    • Date of stay
    • Payment information

2. Paying with Cash/Coin at onsite Kiosks
Please use exact change only, as the kiosk will not give change.

  • Enter your license plate number and press the green button.
  • Insert cash in the dollar or coin slot and press the green button.
  • Receive your payment receipt.

3. Paying with Credit Card at onsite Kiosks

  • Enter your license plate number and press the green button.
  • Insert and quickly remove your credit card, and then press the green button.
  • Receive your payment receipt.

Yes, meters will accept various payment methods such as coins and credit cards in addition to the mobile app. Please keep in mind that the machines can’t make change, so bring exact amount ($1 bills and/or coins).
Yes, the Village offers free parking on weekends and after 10 a.m. on weekdays.
Yes, occasionally a few of the lots will close for things like special events. Commuters will be notified of these closings in advance through the app or via messaging posted at parking kiosks. There will be no overnight parking in the North Oak Park Avenue lot.

80th Ave 2Tinley Park is located near Interstate 80 and Interstate 57, offering easy travel to Chicago and neighboring states. Metra’s commuter rail service on the Rock Island line provides fast, daily service from Tinley Park’s two commuter train stations to Chicago and Joliet. Chicago’s Midway International Airport is about a half-hour drive north, while O’Hare International Airport is only 45 minutes away. The convenient PACE bus service also is available throughout the area.

33 Minutes to/from Chicago

Metra has a weekday express service to and from Chicago to the 80th Avenue train station that takes just 33 minutes. Inbound express trains depart at 6:56 a.m., 7:26 a.m. and 7:56 from 80th Avenue to the LaSalle Street station with no stops. Outbound express trains depart at 3:55 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. from LaSalle Street to 80th Avenue with no stops. Learn more at Metra.com.
