Mayor Jacob VandenbergMayor Jacob C. Vandenberg
Jacob C. Vandenberg was elected as Tinley Park’s 26th mayor in April 2017 after serving for two years as a Village Trustee, where he oversaw the Planning and Zoning Committee.

Mayor Vandenberg is a lifelong resident of Tinley Park and a graduate of both St. George and Providence Catholic high schools. He resides in Tinley Park with his wife, Carrie and sons Oliver and Logan. He and his family are parishioners of St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Church.

Mayor Vandenberg is chief executive officer and a fourth-generation funeral director at Vandenberg Funeral Home, a family owned small business with locations in Tinley Park and Mokena. He has been a licensed funeral director in the State of Illinois since 2006.

Mayor Vandenberg served as Orland Township Trustee from 2009 to 2015. While in office he was co-chair of the Orland Township Finance Committee and co-chair of the Orland Township Scholarship Foundation. He has organized and managed annual community events, all of which benefited the Orland Township Scholarship and Orland Township Food Pantry.

Mayor Vandenberg is a member of the Tinley Park Chamber of Commerce, the Illinois Funeral Directors Association, the National Funeral Directors Association and a member of the Knights of Columbus Fr. C.C. Boyle Council 4698.

Village Clerk Kristin ThirionVillage Clerk Kristin A. Thirion

Kristin A. Thirion was elected Village Clerk in April 2017. She has been a public high school educator in Consolidated High School District 220 for 12 years.

Clerk Thirion enlisted in the U.S. Army prior to her high school graduation to study Russian at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, Calif. and served in the Military Intelligence Corps. 

Clerk Thirion has a bachelor’s degree in German and Russian from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a bachelor’s degree in English secondary education from Governors State University, and a master’s degree in literacy education from Olivet-Nazarene University.

Clerk Thirion and her husband, Sven, have lived in Tinley Park since the early 2000s and were among the founding members of the Tinley Park Arts Council in 2004. They also were instrumental in establishing the first Tinley Park Fine Arts Festival in 2005.

Trustee Cynthia BergTrustee Cynthia A. Berg

Cynthia A. Berg was elected to the Tinley Park Village Board in April 2017 and is Chairperson of the Marketing Committee.

Trustee Berg, her two adult children and their entire family are lifelong residents of Tinley Park. As a child, she attended elementary and middle school in Kirby School District 140. Following her early childhood education, she was in the first graduating class at Andrew High School. After graduating from high school, she continued her educational endeavors, enrolling at Lewis University in Romeoville, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing. 

Trustee Berg’s career in healthcare has included a variety of diverse experiences and settings, including management roles. Her specialty was providing leadership in the operating room, which encompassed the majority of her 31 years of experience as a registered nurse. She also volunteered in Guatemala and the Dominican Republic assisting in surgeries in some of the most poverty-stricken areas.

Trustee Berg works as the school nurse at Bloom Trail High School in Chicago Heights.

Trustee William P. Brady

Trustee Bill BradyWilliam P. Brady was elected to the Tinley Park Village Board in April 2017 and is Chairperson of the Administration and Legal Committee.

Trustee Brady and his wife, Bette have been residents of Tinley Park since the early 1990s and are the parents of Sean and Megan, both of whom are graduates of Andrew High School.

Trustee Brady ran a successful business in Oak Lawn for 33 years before retiring to devote his time to the Boy Scouts. He is one of the founders and committee chairman of Boy Scout Troop 911, chartered by the Tinley Park Police Department’s Crime Prevention and the Tinley Park American Legion Post 615, and is also a committee member of Scout Crew 422.

After retirement, Trustee Brady decided to give back to his community by taking on a part-time position with the Orland Township Senior Service Department as a driver and various other duties as needed. In his spare time, he also volunteers for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources as a hunting and boating safety master instructor.

Trustee Brady and his family are members of St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Church. He and his wife are both Eucharistic ministers and have helped out on many church functions. Trustee Brady can be reached at (708) 444-5000 or

Trustee Michael GlotzTrustee Michael W. Glotz
Michael W. Glotz was elected to the Tinley Park Village Board in April 2017 and is Chairperson of the Public Works Committee.

Trustee Glotz and his wife, Kristie have lived in Tinley Park since the mid-1990s and have two children, Katie and Kyle. He and his family attend Parkview Christian Church. Trustee Glotz is a member of Local 150 Operating Engineers and is a Union Steward for Local 150. Through many years in the field, his experience has been utilized by his company to manage many large projects and assist in sales due to the positive relationships he has developed with clients. 

Trustee Glotz has volunteered as a girls softball and boys baseball coach for the Tinley Park Bulldogs organization and the Southwest Raiders Travel Baseball team in Orland Hills.

Trustee William A. Brennan
Trustee William BrennanWilliam A. Brennan was elected to the Tinley Park Village Board in April 2019 and is Chairperson of the Public Safety Committee.

As an insurance agent with State Farm, Trustee William Brennan has owned and operated an agency in LaGrange since 2011. Previously he worked as paramedic for a local ambulance company.

Born and raised in Tinley Park, Trustee Brennan attended elementary and high school in the Village. He graduated from the EMT-Basic program at Moraine Valley Community College, and acquired his EMT-Paramedic certificate from Ingalls Memorial Hospital. He now lives with his wife, Lindsay, and their three sons, in the Barrett Brothers subdivision. In addition, he currently holds a state producers license for insurance in property, casualty, life, health and variable contracts.

Trustee Brennan is an active member of the community and has volunteered to coach youth baseball and basketball programs. He is also a board member at St. Coletta’s, an organization that provides educational, vocational and residential services for individuals with developmental disabilities. Trustee Brennan and his family are also regular parishioners at St. George Catholic Church in Tinley Park.

Trustee Brennan brings his strong financial background and his insistence on personal relationships to every decision, and his goals are to help make Tinley Park a safer community, invigorate economic growth, and cut wasteful spending.

Trustee Diane M. Galante
Trustee Diane GalanteDiane M. Galante was elected to the Tinley Park Village Board in April 2019 and is Chairperson of the Finance Committee.

Trustee Diane Galante moved to Tinley Park’s Queens Court subdivision in 1996 with her husband, Joe. They have two children: daughter Julianne, and son Joseph. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a Bachelor’s Degree in in accounting, and has been working the past 25 years in Frankfort for a large automotive manufacturer. She has experience working for an industry leader, including economic downturns, while staying focused on financial strength and an ongoing drive for continuous improvements.

Trustee Galante has been highly active in the community over the years, helping with her children’s sports programs as a team mom and coach, and has held multiple board positions. She is a regular volunteer for her children’s schools, the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts organizations, as well as St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church in Tinley Park, where she and her family are parishioners.

Prior to being elected as trustee, Galante was an active member on the Marketing and Branding Commission and the Economic Commercial Commission, where she focused on economic development to improve the lives of residents and increase business retention.

Trustee Michael G. Mueller
Trustee Michael MuellerMichael G. Mueller was elected to the Tinley Park Village Board in April 2019 and is Chairperson of the Community Development Committee.

Trustee Mueller was born in Roselle and lived in Chicago for several years before settling in Tinley Park. He graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor's Degree in economics and a Master's Degree in information technology. He has strong ties to Loyola's athletics department, where he was a member of the track and field and cross country teams for five years.

With his wife Tracy and two sons, Trustee Mueller lives in the Brookside Glen neighborhood located in the Will County section of the Village. He and his family are regular parishioners at Tinley Park’s St. Stephen Deacon and Martyr Catholic Church.

Trustee Mueller is a senior principal software architect for CSG International, a Fortune 500 company, where he started in 2005. He helps lead some of the largest and strategically important projects for CSG, focusing on delivering value and quality to his clients.
