Harmony Square work set to begin

Posted: March 22, 2024

Construction will begin next week on Harmony Square, a new multi-use plaza on 1.6 acres at the corner of Oak Park Avenue and North Street in Downtown Tinley.

As part of construction, the Village’s contractor will be closing 173rd Street and North Street at 7 a.m. Monday, March 25. Work will entail installation of valves on the 24-inch watermain and installation of the soil retention/watermain protection system. Both roads will reopen by the evening of Friday, March 29. See the closure plan for more information.

Work will continue on Tuesday, March 26 with the demolition of Teehan's Tavern. Construction of the new plaza and surrounding buildings, including a reconstructed replica of Teehan's Tavern, is on-track to be completed in time for a spring 2025 opening.
